Professor Aleksandra Kawala-Sterniuk is an expert in Human-Machine Interfaces, Brain-Computer Interfaces, and biomedical signal processing. She holds a D.Sc. in Cybernetics and a Ph.D. in Computing and Mathematical Sciences. With over 153 scientific publications, she has contributed significantly to fields such as EEG signal processing, machine learning, and biomedical applications of advanced technologies.

Professor Kawala-Sterniuk has been instrumental in multiple national and international research projects, including CHIST-ERA and NSF-funded initiatives. She has served as an expert for the European Commission and has an extensive background in academia and research, with collaborations spanning globally recognized institutions.

Her teaching experience covers a wide range of topics, from foundational programming in Python to advanced topics like Brain-Computer Interfaces and biomedical image processing. She is also a certified project manager and has received numerous awards for her academic and research achievements, including recognition for her contributions to neuroscience.

Professor Kawala-Sterniuk actively serves on editorial boards for journals like Sensors and Frontiers in Neuroscience and has participated in organizing scientific conferences worldwide. Her ongoing research aims to advance applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare and improve methods for neurodegenerative disease analysis.
